My walls are blank…

When people hear about my passion for interior design and decorating, often times, most people say my walls are so blank and empty and I do not know what to do with it. That is really fair! An empty wall is equivalent to looking at a blank canvas. I know my deep advice is paint your walls!! But, I understand that is a lot of work and not for everyone.

Finding art pieces is difficult though, and, pricey !! But please, please, do not just go on society 6 and buy the generic prints. You have taste! I promise, and you can make it so much more personal.

Where to source:

Look at thrift stores! You may need to dig through a couple, but you can find some funky pieces and a pro is that they will most liekly be framed already! Framing your art can help so much with your space.

Even if you don’t love the art, you can replace the art and keep the frame! Some good second hand shops with art I love in San Francisco are: Community Thrift, Reperch, STUFF, and the Salvation Army in the Richmond.

Facebook marketplace can sometimes have some good pieces. I have personally never succeeded in this, but keep your eye out!

Again, you can also always search for frames on here and print our some Pinterest art:)

Look on etsy! Supporting a small business is always the correct move and you can find unique and beautiful pieces.

Etsy has so so many framed pieces. Try searching “MCM art” “vintage art” “eclectic frames” “colored matting” and get lost in the search of the art world.

Create your own. I know, not everyone can paint, myself included! But, art for your walls does not mean simply painting a picture. You can frame your favorite photo stripes from your most recent dive bar trip or frame a hand written letter you received from a loved one. You cab even collage some magazines together and frame that for a funky and unique piece!! My sister even framed a coaster she got on a recent trip to New York:) Added touches of things that are important to you around your home will make your space feel like representation of things you love therefore creating a safe haven at the end of the night.

I saw this on Pinterest and redid in my own home by buying a shadow box it filling it with cards from my loved ones! Now I always have their kind words looking over me.

Lastly, ask me to create some digital art for you.. not to self plug, but hey this is my website.
